Andrea sang in NYMF’s annual Intersecting Chords concert, alongside Bonnie Milligan, Teal Wicks, and more. This year’s theme was “Reclaiming the Narrative” and she sang “Maybe”, alongside Kat Griffin, written by Sarah Flaim and Sav Souza. The concert celebrates the songwriting of female-identifying, trans, and non-binary writers.
The trailer is OUT for the new queer comedy web series, These Thems! Andrea is thrilled to be featured in a series created by an entirely LGBTQ+ and/or POC crew and features out actors in queer roles.

Andrea is bringing sMOkeyTOWN back to Chicago where it all started five years ago! Performances are April 11th at Metropolis Arts Center and April 12th at Beverly Arts Center. sMOkeyTOWN is conceived, produced, and written by Andrea and celebrates the songwriting canon of Smokey Robinson. Featured artists at these performances are Chicago favorites Bethany Thomas and Jos Banks. Music direction by Emma Weiss.
Andrea is currently playing the role of Alison in FUN HOME at Baltimore Center Stage. Directed by Hana S. Sharif! Running January 17 - February 24, 2019. FUN HOME is the first musical in BCS’s newly-renovated Head Theatre, and first musical under the leadership of new Artistic Director Stephanie Ybarra.
Andrea conceived, produced, and performed in a one-night-only concert on November 15th at Birdland Theater: QUEERING THE STAGE: Introducing Ring of Keys. The night was a celebration of Key Members and their work. Despite an unexpected blizzard, it was a warm house of support!
Andrea is proud to join the Board as Board Chair of the NYC-based theatre company National Queer Theater. NQT is committed to creating a space for queer artists and fostering the LGBTQ community at large through art for social change.
The 12th installment of MuseMatch is October 12th! In MuseMatch, composers and singers are paired on a blind date and asked to follow a series of prompts, designed to connect them immediately and authentically. The composers then write a song inspired by their singer, culminating in an evening of entirely original work, with proceeds benefiting the Ali Forney Center. Andrea will team up with composer Teresa Lotz Red Emma and the Mad Monk) and lyricist Naomi Matlow.
Andrea has been invited to present “Queering the Musical Theatre Stage” alongside her co-presenter, K. Woodzick, at the National Statera Foundation Conference on October 7th, 2018. The foundation’s mission is to take positive and strategic action to bring women+ into full and equal participation in the theatre. The Statera Conference is all about nourishing an environment of gender balance through the lens of intersectionality.
Andrea played the protagonist roles of Mal / Gina in the workshop reading of Patricia Cotter’s play THE DAUGHTERS, directed by Jessi D. Hill. The Daughters was part of NYTW’s Mondays @ 3 Programming.

With co-founder Royer Bockus, Andrea has launched RING OF KEYS: a collective of queer women+, trans, and GNC artists working on and offstage in musical theatre! The mission of RING OF KEYS is to build a supportive, national network for its members, as well as serve as a hiring resource, through its public Member Directory, for those looking to work with professional artists who self-identify as lesbian, bisexual, queer, femme, trans, and non-binary.
After playing ALL the instruments in Andrea’s show, sMOkeyTOWN, at Feinstein’s / 54 Below, Pearl Rhein (The Great Comet) invited Andrea to sing her all-original-music solo show as a guest artist. Books & Instruments as part of Feinstein’s / 54 Below Late Night Series featuring cast members from the Broadway musical Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Lots of clever lyrics and genius compositions ensued!
